This made me cry too. I can’t imagine how hard that must have been to hear those words and know you couldn’t make any promises.

    Masses of (((((((hugs)))))))

You handled a difficult question so well! I read the best quote yesterday on a friend’s blog. She was writing about the moment the nurse pulled her minutes-old daughter from her arms to take her to the NICU (with an eventual diagnosis of spinabifida). Her mother gave her a hug and whispered, “She came to this earth just like she was supposed to.” I know that God has a plan for you and your son, and that you are the perfect mom for him. You will be blessed to guide him and help him! Keep going through the hard times. You can do it!

Oh Debs, whilst our journeys may be different (my daughter has a rare genetic syndrome and is non verbal) I still feel your pain through your words. Thank you for sharing this with us…although it must have been difficult. Sending you all massive (((hugs))). xx
