Sunday Sharing: Thinking Slimmer with Slimpod and public accountability

In one year of many attempts, I’ve lost the grand total of 0.5lb.
During that year I’ve gained 1 stone, lost 1.5 stone, gained 1 stone, lost 0.5 stone … And so on.

Over the last few months I’ve been looking into what works best for me. Being in Fitbit challenges made me move but not enough to challenge the leaders but a month ago, I decided to share my steps daily via my Instagram account and for some reason, that has meant that on 28 days of 30, I’ve hit my goal.

So how do I use that knowledge on the weight-loss journey?

Something for me to think about as I return to my Thinking Slimmer Slimpod – this really helped me earlier this year as I mentioned, but like many of us, I  thought I could carry on alone.   So how do I go about Thinking Slimmer with Slimpod and public accountability?

What works for you?

I would love suggestions from you as to how I can use this knowledge of public accountability to help me.  I am certain I am not comfortable sharing my weight on line, maybe a few people I trust to do that with.  Have you ever shared your weight on line to help motivate you?  How did it work for you?

    I think just publishing this blog is a great first step for accountanility – also joining the Slimpod Drop a Dress size challenge and checking in with your buddies on Facebook. You don’t have to tell people how much you weigh – just saying how much you have lost is fine.

    Alternatively don’t weigh at all and measure your success with a ribbon. It has no numbers on it so nobody can judge you on your start point (including you!) but you can see progress easily .
